Zoning Board of Appeals (3-year term)
The Zoning Board of Appeals is a judicial board that's duty is to rule on petitions for appeal, interpretation, or variance. And is responsible for the following:
- Conducts hearings and determines the outcome of dimensional variance requests associated with the Zoning Ordinance; and
- Decides appeals of administrative decisions pertaining to the Zoning Ordinance or Map; and
- Makes recommendation to the Planning Commission for amendments to the Zoning Ordinance.
The Zoning Board of Appeals consists of seven voting members and possibly two alternatives. Each member is appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
