The City of Menominee is accepting letters of interest from registered voters in the 4th Ward for appointment to the City Council to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of a 4th Ward Council Member.
The City Council will hold its regular meeting on February 21, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. to meet prospective appointees and to appoint an eligible person. To be eligible for appointment a person must be a registered voter of the City and reside in the 4th Ward. The person appointed will take office at the Council meeting on February 21, 2023, and serve until the next regular City Council election on November 7, 2023.
The 4th Ward consists of the following area: The South boundary begins where 30th Avenue extended would meet the waters of Green Bay, then westerly along 30th Avenue extended to 15th Street, North on 15th Street to 32nd Avenue, West on 32nd Avenue to 16th Street, North on 16th Street to 38th Avenue, West along 38th Avenue to the western City limits; the western City limits form the western boundary, the waters of Green Bay form the eastern boundary and the northern City limits form the northern boundary.
Letters of interest will be accepted by Susan Johnson in the office of Mayor Jean Stegeman until 12 Noon on February 16, 2023.
