The City of Menominee Board of Review for March 2021 will be held by electronic remote access unless by the dates of the March Board of Review meetings it becomes lawful under state agency rules and statute for an in-person meeting to be held. Electronic remote access, in accordance with Michigan law, will be implemented in response to COVID-19 social distancing requirements and limitations on the number of individuals in the council chambers.
By City Council resolution, taxpayers are able to protest by letter, including email, provided protest is received prior to 4:30 p.m. CST March 9, 2021. Protest petition Form #4035 is available at https://www.michigan.gov/treasury/ or https://menominee.us/ or from the assessor.

If in-person meetings become a lawful option, then the meetings will be held both in-person at City Hall, 2511 10th Street, Menominee, MI, and via electronic remote access.

Appointments are required. Contact Assessor Peg Bastien for an appointment at (906)863-1758. Appeals are limited to 15 minutes per parcel. Personal representatives are required to have written permission from the property owners to act as their representatives.
The Board of Review will meet as many more days as deemed necessary to hear questions, protests, and to equalize the 2021 assessments.
