The City of Menominee is establishing an eligibility list for the full-time position of firefighter. Applicants must possess Michigan Fire Fighter Training Council (M.F.F.T.C.) Fire Fighter I Certification, or equivalent certification from another state, and agree to acquire Fire Fighter II certification within one (1) year as a condition of continued employment. Qualified applicants must satisfactorily pass a written aptitude exam, a physical ability test, psychological examination, physical (including drug screening), and a background investigation prior to hiring.

Proof of Firefighter I certification must accompany application at the time of submittal. Applications can be obtained at the City Clerk/Treasurer's Office, 2511-10th Street, Menominee MI 49858 or by calling (906)863-2656 during normal working hours, or on the City’s website menominee.us. Only applications received after September 21, 2020 will be considered. Faxed and/or email applications will not be accepted.

Applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. on October 2, 2020.

The City of Menominee's residency requirement states that you must reside within 20 miles of the City limits within six months of hire date.
