The City of Menominee is accepting applications for the following full-time position:
City Engineer –
The City of Menominee Michigan (population 8, 599) is seeking candidates for the position of City Engineer. As City Engineer this position is responsible for the design and implementation of specifications, plans and bid documents may oversee construction of a variety of projects (streets, utilities, and buildings as examples), coordination of engineering consultants, and the maintenance of a variety of engineering records, drawings, and maps.
Qualifications:
Requires a four-year degree in Civil or other Engineering field and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience. Knowledge of modern principles and practices of sanitation, municipal infrastructure, specifically water quality, sanitary sewer operations, best practices for stormwater management, roadway and bridge constructions, street maintenance, theory, principle, and practices of public administration, relevant federal and state laws and local ordinances. Building construction and codes experience is desirable and preferred.
